The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world. Due to quarantines, political wars, and non-compliace to health measures, health delivery systems became greatly strained. Among whose lives are most affected by the pandemic are the chronically ill who need regular access to these health care services since they also need to contend with the deluge of patients infected with the COVID-19 virus. Thus, those with chronic illnesses were forced to adopt new health regiments to survive in this changing landscape. This study utilized the phenomenological approach since it is aimed at obtaining a description of the experiences pertaining to the health regimen of the chronically ill, the challenges they face, and their adaptive strategies and coping methods. There were 10 participants involved with inclusion criteria involving residents of Biday, who are chronically ill and are 40 years of age or under. The exclusion criteria were: non-permanent residents of barangay Biday, not diagnosed with a chronic illness, 41 years old and above. A purposive sampling teachnique was utilized. The data gathering procedure involved was the phone interview to manimize fac-to-face contact. As such, the researchers developed and utilized interview guide questions as the instrument to collect data. Colaizzi's method was used in the management of data. Most of the participants lived relatively normal lives until the diagnosis of their chronic illnesses, forcing them to follow the prescribed health regimen set by their doctors. Due to the pandemic, the participants found their vulnerabilities quickly revealed. They often themselves in a bind wherein their independence was compromised, and they had to resort to creating a system that worked within the confines of the pandemic restrictions. Most of the participants did not lose hope despite their health-related issues at the time of the pandemic. They were able to persevere and find support from their family in resolving many of their issues.
