Nurses play important roles in supporting and caring for cancer patients, working with these patients and families can be emotionally demanding and challenging. They encounter pain, suffering, and death as a part of their daily life but little is known about the oncology nurses' shared practices of caring for children with cancer. This study aimed to explore the nurses' lived experiences in the provision of care to children with cancer. The study adopted the qualitativeƠphenomenological design, and an in-depth semi-structured interview guide via virtual meeting was used to collate necessary information from the participants about their lived experiences. Three major themes emerged from the data analysis of the responses using Colaizzi's approach namely:
"Struggle is real", "Road to Recovery", and "Meet with the Parents". The study promotes understanding through exploring the nurses' lived experiences, themes that were generated will serve as framework in creating strategic ways or approach that enhance sensitivity and holistic care to the cancer patient. Hence this will help the oncology nurses to enrich their knowledge, skills, and attitude as provider of care.
