The researchers employed a qualitative-phenomenological research design that seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of the healthcare providers in Lorma Medical Center. The study utilized semi-structure interview as a tool in data gathering. It was conducted face-to-face with the selected healthcare providers. The interview guide used in data gathering was open-ended questions with one general question and follow-up questions that the participants responded to. With these, the researchers were able to distinguish their experiences in using healthcare information systems. Findings conclude that the health information system has massively contributed to the easy access of patients' information decreasing medical errors and utilizes effective workflow between healthcare providers but besides its advantages there are also minimal flaws discovered such as technical problems in using the system like power interruption and issues on internet connection. With these, the researchers recommend ways on how the health care providers of Lorma Medical Center can effectively adapt to changes such as training or incorporating informatics into their clinical practice, suggesting a step-by-step operating manual that has concepts about the system, and lastly the exposure of student nurses on how to use the system.
