The study determined the practices and perceived effectiveness of cloth and surgical masks among jeepney drivers. It also aimed to determine the significant differences between the practices and perceived effectiveness of using cloth and surgical masks. The study identified what IEC materials would be used to educate the jeepney drivers on the importance of proper wearing of face masks.Closed-ended questionnaires were used and distributed to thirty jeepney drivers who were Bacnotan residents. The researchers gathered and analyzed data through statistical tools. Central tendency used to analyze SOP1, SOP2, and SPO3. Pearson method used to determine the relationship of the study for SPO 4. t-test was used to determine the significant differences between the perceived effectiveness of both surgical and cloth masks for SPO5.There was a negative significant relationship between practices and perceived effectiveness of both masks. There was a significant difference between perceived effectiveness of both masks. Flyer distribution could be used to educate jeepney drivers in Bacnotan, La Union about the importance of proper wearing of face masks and the effective protection against viruses and communicable diseases.
